Beautiful.ai alternative

A Beautiful.ai alternative that writes the argument, not just the layout

Beautiful.ai made its name with smart slides that rearrange themselves as you type, which keeps a deck tidy without fiddling. People start looking elsewhere for three reasons: there's no free plan to try it on real work, they want the AI to do more of the thinking, or they need an RFP-to-proposal workflow. Here's how Arcdeck compares, with Beautiful.ai's facts taken from its own pricing and support pages.

Facts checked on 11 October 2026 against each vendor's own pages. Sources are listed at the end.

The short answer

Choose Beautiful.ai if you design slides yourself and want them to stay tidy, need real-time collaboration on a team plan, or want viewer analytics. Choose Arcdeck if you want the AI to draft the whole storyline as action titles, want to try it without a card, or build proposals from RFPs.

The differences that matter

Trying it

Beautiful.ai has no free plan: the 14-day trial asks for a card (students with a .edu address get a free year). Arcdeck's free plan needs no card and writes two real decks so you can judge the output on your own topic.

What the AI does

Beautiful.ai's DesignerBot generates a deck, and its smart slides then keep layouts in order as you edit. Arcdeck spends its effort earlier: it drafts the argument as a sequence of action titles you edit, then writes every slide, chart and speaker note from that.

PowerPoint and Google Slides

Beautiful.ai's Pro plan and up export editable PowerPoint and editable Google Slides directly; animations and transitions don't come along. Arcdeck Premium exports an editable .pptx with native charts and tables, which you import into Google Slides if you work there.

Teams

Beautiful.ai's Team plan adds real-time collaboration, shared branded themes and engagement tracking. Arcdeck has no live co-editing or viewer analytics; it is built for one person producing a finished deck quickly.

Who should pick which

Pick Beautiful.ai if

  • You like designing slides yourself and want guardrails that keep them consistent
  • Your team edits decks together in real time
  • You want to see who viewed a deck and for how long
  • You need an editable Google Slides export in one click

Pick Arcdeck if

  • You want the AI to structure the argument, not only the layout
  • You want to test it on real work without entering a card
  • You need native, editable charts in the PowerPoint file
  • You write proposals from RFPs, optionally in your firm's own template

Questions

Not as of October 2026. It offers a 14-day trial that needs a card, and a free year for students with a .edu email. Arcdeck has a free plan with no card: 2 presentations, each with the whole storyline and the first 3 slides written in full, which you can edit, present and share as a link. Premium (US$19.99 a month) writes every slide and adds PowerPoint and PDF downloads.
